Carbon Trust is a UK-based organization that provides certification and advisory services to help businesses reduce their carbon emissions and become more sustainable. They work with industrial clients in sectors as diverse as textiles, cement, steel, mining, ICT, cooling, food and beverage, chemicals and pulp and paper to help them understand their Net Zero challenges and to develop and deploy the solutions needed to decarbonise.

John is Resourcing and Delivery Director for our Services Sector Group. Since 2008 he has worked directly with organisations to enable them to better implement sustainability agendas within their own operations and across their value chains to drive sustainable growth. John also leads our Assurance and Certification services, and has helped several hundred organisations communicate progress in their sustainability journey in a responsible way, and particularly promoting the use of the Carbon Label to help organisations credibly communicate the climate credentials of their products and services.

Prior to joining the Carbon Trust, John has almost 20 years of business strategy experience working mainly in the ICT sector. He is an alumnus of the University of Cape Town.
