Ms Elise Van Middelem

Founder & Chief Impact Officer,

SUGi

Urban Biodiversity & Resilience

As a Creative Brand Strategist, Elise Van Middelem, has 16+ years of experience developing large scale interdisciplinary projects — from conception through execution — for companies including Louis Vuitton, Nike, Samsung and Art Basel. She’s a leader in forging connections between disparate groups by uniting them under a common purpose.

It was during a trek in Upper Mustang, Nepal to plant 200 Apple trees for the local community that SUGi was born. SUGi is the inevitable coming together of her two passions, Art & Nature, under one purpose; to empower anyone anywhere in the world to become a biodiversity builder.

Mr Žiga Drev

Founder & Managing Director,

Trace Labs – OriginTrail core developers

OriginTrail: Making Supply Chains Work. Together.

Ziga is Managing Director and one of three founders of Trace Labs – core developers of the open-source OriginTrail protocol. He co-founded Trace Labs while finishing his MBA in Ljubljana and soon recognized the importance of GS1 standards for business data exchange and introduced them to OriginTrail’s service. He managed the OriginTrail pilot projects in China and helped design a blockchain-based food traceability blueprint in 2017 which got OriginTrail to become an inaugural member of the Walmart Food Innovation Pipeline as well as the first winner of the Spark Award.

He is often the ‘face’ of the company at global events, contributing his hands-on experience from supply chain projects the OriginTrail team has been involved in within Asia, Europe, Australia, and North America. His goal is to help unlock new value in fragmented supply chains. Ziga loves being in nature and enjoys quality, origin-traced food.
